Weigh loss has always been a big, sensitive topic that concerns both men and women. A lot of magazines, blogs and websites post and print stories and articles about how to lose 10 pounds in 1 week or how to lose weight following this and that diet.
Almost everybody falls for those articles, because they are desperate enough to believe that it’s possible. We all want changes to be easy to achieve. Maybe like waving with a magic wand, but that happens only in fairy-tales and movies. In real live you have to work hard for everything.
Just take a moment and ask yourself:
“Is it possible to do that in such short period of time and to keep my weight after that?”
Losing weight fast is a big stress to the body. If you want to lose those 10 pounds and not to gain them back in a few days it’s important to think about changing a few things in your life:
- Changing your diet for good is the way to start. Don’t think that if you give up sugar, white bread and fizzy drinks only for a week until you lose those 10 pounds is the way to go. You have to change your way of eating and thinking about food. Many people live to eat and others eat to live. I am not saying ether one of those types is the right. You have to keep the balance in your life.
- Training is something you should add to your daily routine if you want really to lose weight and to keep it this way. There are many things you can try like: yoga, cardio exercises, running, fast walking, fitness and so on. Find what makes you happy and give you energy and find time to do it every day or at least 3-4 times a week.
- Drastic changes are not good for your body. You need time to adjust to everything that you put yourself through. Take your time and everything will work out.
- Stress is another factor that reflects on your weight. Stress effects people in two ways – some people eat a lot to forget what’s bothering them, others forget to eat which can cause a lot of health problems. The best way to deal with stress is to find out what the problem is and to deal with it instead of putting it off.
Making changes is not easy and the first step is always the hardest. Taking this first step is the way to go and you will achieve what you want. Losing weight is a whole process not just a diet that you have to follow for a week.
Make sure you know what you want and that you are doing it for all the right reasons. You have everything that takes to make anything come true.
