We all have dreams of the perfect body, but the truth is that it needs a lot of work to achieve. It is in our nature to sometimes want to take some time off from all the work.
Then there are those of us who simply cannot manage to endure the hard work itself. The good news is that there are ways to shed weight without having to resort to the hard work.
Recent research has suggested that sleep is linked to weight loss. Make sure that you get enough sleep so that the hormones that are responsible for your hunger are in balance. Little sleep encourages excess eating and snacking which encourages weight gain.
- Make pepper your friend
Pepper contains capsaicin which is responsible for the feeling of hotness that you experience when you take it. What it is doing is converting stored fat to fat that can be burned for energy. Opt for the spicy food every so often. It will help cut out some fat.
- Hide your guilty pleasures
The saying that goes, “out of sight, out of mind” is very applicable in this case. Keep your calorie rich cookies or candies in opaque containers and stack them in the high cabinets in your pantry or kitchen. You are far less likely to snack on them randomly if you don’t see them every time.
- Drink water
The next time you feel like a snack, take a glass of water. You’ll be surprised how far less hungry you feel afterwards thanks to the feeling of satiety. You may have just been thirsty all along.
